Tyler Hurd grew up in New Hampshire but currently resides in the Charlotte area. His journey began at the University of the Arts in central Philadelphia, and brought him to the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. While studying to be a film and animation major before the transfer, He learned a lot about those two fields and also picked up on photography. Eventually he grew very fond of it and started doing it more often. Back in his junior and senior years of high school he learned the fundamentals of the Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, and Premiere Pro in a graphic design class. Over the course of those two years he expanded on that knowledge and became proficient with these programs. Once college started, friends started asking if he could design a logo or tattoos for them and he's been doing freelance work ever since. After transferring to SCAD, he majored in visual effects where he decided to focus in 3D modeling with aspirations to work on Marvel films and video games, teaching himself motion design along the way.
